These two one-hour programs take the audience on a culinary journey through the ancient world, giving insight into the food, rituals, and customs that were part of serving meals in the cultures that gave birth to Western civilization.

The Spice of Life
This program is part historical food and part gardening. It shows the plants from which we obtain our commonly used spices, as well as covering some of the more-common spice blends. Also covered will be the historical significance of these spices as they impacted Western civilization.
Food Migration
This program explores the impact of New World foods on the Old World and how those foods returned to the New World as the ethnic foods of the immigrants.
Salon Suppers
This program covers meals that Casanova would've been proud to serve. It will show how food was used during the Rococo period to enhance romantic liaisons. Topics covered are the menu, the setting, and the seduction.
