I offer extensive historical consulting and historical research services. Museums, historical societies, writers, and other history enthusiasts find my services helpful as they attempt to create a complete picture of a time or place. I specialize in daily life, etiquette, and lifestyles. Research services are available for most historical periods, and I can also research specialized places, times, and people.

Since 1986, I have owned and operated Living History Lectures, a national touring company presenting one-woman, historically accurate, costumed programs that are educational entertainment. I am widely known for my lively presentational style and in-depth research.

I have taught history at the college level and hold a degree focused on social history. Women's studies and fashion history are my particular emphasis, but I have a deep knowledge of daily life throughout history. I own an immense library (over 3,000 volumes) and have access to many other research tools.

My fees are $50.00 an hour. I am available for phone or on-line consultations, as well as working through the regular mail. I can include pictures and graphics as well as text.
